Economic Development Officer says contest could run in Blyth, Wingham.

After a successful three-year run, the "Win This Space" contest in Huron East is taking a break in 2018.

Economic Development Officer Jan Hawley tells Country 104.9 News that last year's winner parlayed her idea into three different business streams.

But -- Hawley says "Win This Space" isn't going away completely this year.

She says North Huron, is looking at a similar concept to highlight economic development in that area.

Hawley notes that the BIAs in Wingham and Blyth have been contacted, with an eye to running a "Win This Space" contest.

She says she's willing to pay it forward by advising the North Huron BIAs, in the same way she was helped by the town of Uxbridge when Huron East launched the contest in 2015.

Hawley mentions that the contest likely will stage a return to Huron East next year.
