Vanastra Murder Case Put Off Until July

29 year old Corey Volland to appear by video link in Goderich court next month, on 2nd degree murder charge.

A 29 year old Huron county man remains behind bars with his next court appearance set for July 9th on a charge of 2nd degree murder.

Corey Volland of Vanastra is charged in the death of his fiance, 27 year old Laura Wigelsworth.

Her body was found in May on Front road in Vanastra, after she failed to return home after going for a walk.

The two were set to be married in August.

Volland appeared by video in Goderich court Monday where the case was put over until next month.

An order has been issued that he not communicate directly with nine people, including members of Wigelsworth's family.

Members from the Huron County OPP Detachment along with investigators from the West Region Crime Unit, under the direction of Detective Inspector Randy Wright of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) continue to investigate.
