The Salvation Army of Goderich has kicked off their Thanksgiving food drive.
Officials with the Sally Ann will be at the town's Suncoast Mall from Thursday to Saturday, gathering donations for those in need.
Lieutenant David Hickman says the organization will be putting together Thanksgiving packages, filled with food items enjoyed during the October holiday.
Those include soups, canned vegetables, and pasta sauce and noodles.
School snacks continue to be in need throughout the academic year, as well.
As for the Thanksgiving bird, Hickman says the Huron County Food Bank Distribution Centre has a partnership with Hayter's Farm, in Dashwood, to distribute turkeys to families in need.
The Salvation Army will be attending Suncoast Mall, outside the Food Basics entrance, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Thursday to Saturday.
