Huron County's only cancer treatment facility is enjoying a financial windfall, thanks to a successful event held two years ago.

The facility's oncology department came in line for the grant, as the committee winds down 18 months after the 100th IPM was held near Walton.
The gift is one of four grants handed out to organizations throughout Huron County.
2017 IPM Chair Jacquie Bishop says all families are touched by cancer, whether directly or by knowing someone who suffers from the illness.
The Wingham hospital's oncology ward recently underwent extensive renovation, as part of a facility-wide upgrade.
