Replacement of a 150 metre stretch of boardwalk along the South Huron Trail is now done, and the Ausable-Bayfield Conservation has declared the attraction fully reopened.
The work involved replacing nearly 1,000 boards along the south side of the trail's Morrison-McNaughton section in Exeter.
The ABCA created a by-pass pathway while the work was under way in July, so visitors could continue to enjoy the natural beauty of the area.
Authority officials say the new boards are less resistant to the effects of weather, and they're not as prone to breakage as the ones they replaced.
Local community donations helped make the trail section rehabilitation possible.
