A new digital x-ray suite is coming to the Clinton Public Hospital.
The Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance announced their purchase of the new equipment Tuesday, which will cause some delays at the facility.
Outpatient exams will be delayed six to eight weeks in order to install the new suite, beginning November 12th.
Patients requiring X-rays during this time period are asked to visit another hospital.
Hours of operation at the Seaforth Community Hospital site of the HPHA have been extended to accommodate the extra volume.
Hospital staff expect the new x-ray equipment in Clinton will provide higher quality images which in turn facilitates accuracy in interpretation and diagnosis.
The new equipment will also improve efficiency as exams will be performed in a shorter amount of time.
