Artyom Manukyan and Alexey Polodyan both scored twice for the Russians.

Guelph Storm defender Dmitri Samorukov had the other goal for the Selects who are 2 & 1 in their 6 game tour of the CHL

The OHL led 1-0 after Taylor Raddysh of the Erie Otters opened the scoring 36 seconds into the game on a penalty shot.

The other OHL marker came on a power play from Kitchener Rangers sniper Adam Mascherin that tied the game 2-2.

Manukyan scored his 2nd of the game just over 90 seconds later to give the Russians a lead they wouldn't relinquish.

Two members of the Owen Sound Attack, Markus Phillips & Nick Suzuki, competed for the OHL while Attack coach Todd Gill was part of the coaching staff

Game 4 in the series will be Monday night at Sudbury.

Suzuki along with teammate Jonah Gadjovich are scheduled to play on Monday.

Gadjovich was scheduled to compete in Owen Sound but an upper body injury kept him out of the affair
