A welcoming reception has been held to greet four new physicians who will be practicing in Goderich.
Four of the doctors are already working here, and a fifth puts down roots next Spring.
Wednesday’s event, at J’s Bistro on Courthouse Square, marked the official welcome for Doctors Satinerpal Gill and spouse, Doctor Katayun Treasurywalla, who as at November 1st assume the former MVMC practice of Doctor Fahimia Koudra.
Doctor Gill will double providing anaesthesia coverage — both he and Doctor Treasurywalla also share Emergency Room coverage at Alexandra Marine and General Hospital.
Doctor Lalit Krishna takes over Doctor Chan’s practise, and will also provide anaesthesia services and cover Emergency Room assignments at AMGH.
Doctor Benjamin Pook brings his much-anticipated orthopaedic practise to AMGH, while Doctor Mark Reddington, who spent his Psychiatric residency in Goderich, returns to participate in the Huron County Mental Health Program in July of 2014.
With the additions, there are 22 specialist and family doctors practicing in the community.
