The Zehrs grocery store in Goderich proved why theyre among the best for customer satisfaction in the country.
The store in Canada’s Prettiest Town was recently named the top location nationwide for their service.
To celebrate, staff awarded free groceries to every patron in the store at 4:45 PM on Wednesday.
That amounts to $3,000 worth of goods.
The event is part of the store’s #MarketMoments campaign, where staff give away individual items to customers and showcase the happy faces online.
#MarketMoments Champion Victoria Makcrow says this is the most exciting thing to happen at the Goderich Zehr’s in her 18 years at the store.
Makcrow tells us the store was recognized nationally because of its strong customer service.
Sometimes, she says this simply includes ensuring tills are open when line-ups are forming, to keep customers happy.
The #MarketMoments campaign included partnerships with the Brick Goderich for a Zehrs Markets Customer Comfort Zone, which involved luxury furniture for customer to relax and enjoy treats.
Extra PC points were also given away on Halloween for customers dressed in costume.
With only one more week left in the #MarketMoments campaign, Makcrow says she’s not sure how she’ll top thousands in grocery giveaways.
