Parking along the Goderich shoreline is no longer free for non-residents.
Starting Tuesday, $20-a-day paid parking will be introduced at the town’s three beaches, but Goderich Mayor John Grace says enforcement will not begin immediately.
“That will not start until June 14th,” Grace tells Country 104.9 News.
“This is a slow and methodical education process for people who are enjoying and experiencing our beaches through this paid parking process.”
Goderich Town Hall is offering two free beach parking passes for residents of the town, with applications accepted through Goderich’s website.
For non-residents wishing to purchase a season pass to the Goderich shoreline, the fee is $60, plus HST.
Parking meters have now been introduced at Goderich’s three beaches.
