Parts of the Wawanosh Valley Conservation Area will be closed through the rest of the month, and into the new year.
Harvesting of diseased and damaged trees around the Wawanosh Park campground will keep that portion of the property closed until the end of December, west of the Maitland River.
Tree removal will begin near the Nature Centre (east side of the river) on January 4, 2022.
While the work is underway the property will be closed to the public due to safety concerns.
No exact date for re-opening can be provided at this time, as staff need time to remove debris from the trails.
