The Town of Goderich is moving forward with the purchase of a portion of the land that was a part of the site of the former Victoria Public School.
The land will be used as the new site for the apartment building set to be built on Gibbons Street.
The 39-unit, four-storey apartment building has been a big topic in recent months, particularly as it would help tackle homelessness in the county.
The proposed building would contain 10 supportive housing units to help those dealing with homelessness transition into safe, permanent homes.
The building would also offer affordable housing to those in need.
