The Municipality of Huron East will try to salvage a damaged building in downtown Seaforth.
The municipality announced they are trying to prevent further damage to the building at 33 Main Street, after a tractor drove through the heritage building October 13th.
“A partial demolition permit has been issued for the removal of brick so a better observation and likely repairs can be made,” a news release from Huron East says.
Officials say a survey will be done this week, while a Heritage Consultant Report is expected next week.
Huron East says Main Street will be re-opened, once the tractor is removed and public safety is addressed.
