Huron County students studying the environment in college can get some financial help from conservation officials.
The Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority is now accepting applications for their Student Environmental Grant.
The grant provides the winning student $1 thousand in scholarship funding.
The student receiving the award is someone pursuing a post-secondary education in a course of study related to conservation/environment.
Examples include:
- Biology
- Ecology
- Geography
- Forestry
- Fish and Wildlife
- Agriculture
- Outdoor Education
The student must be between 17 and 25 years of age and have a permanent address within a member municipality of the Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority (ABCA) watershed area.
The deadline for applications is Friday, May 31st at 4:30 p.m..
