Construction on a section of the Guelph To Goderich Rail Trail (G2G) in Blyth is expected to take the remainder of the month.
Work is now underway on a section of the 127 kilometre trail, creating an underpass which travels under Blyth Road, near the North Huron town.
Once finished, the underpass would prevent cyclists from crossing the busy roadway to continue along the G2G trail.
Since 2017, officials with the G2G Rail Trail have been making improvements to the abandoned rail bed, including resurfacing the majority of the trail.
Officials say Spring maintenance has now been completed for 2024, making the path easier to navigate for users.
