Goderich Council received an update on the draft budget for 2025.
Town treasurer Deanna Hastie shared an updated draft that included the impact of the Rebuilding Downtown Infrastructure Project, and further adjustments for transfers to reserve funds, as well as a sample tax bill impact.
The projected tax increase is 1%, far lower than the initial projections of 6% brought forward by town staff.
That’s in addition to the 3.45% tax increase from the county.
