After a two week delay, the Clinton Raceway is set to welcome harness racing fans.
Officials with the raceway say construction to the facility’s grandstand prompted the start of Clinton’s harness racing season.
“Unfortunately the stadium seating will not be accessible at this time, and will be completed for Sunday, June 15,” a news release says.
“Plenty of seating will be available trackside in the seasons event tent, on the patio and temporary bleachers will be set up in the homestretch. As always, fans are encouraged to pack a lawn chair.”
Each Sunday of the racing season, the Clinton Raceway picks a community organization who benefits from fundraising at the grounds.
For Sunday, Central Huron Secondary School will host a 50/50, silent auction, bake sale and more all under the event tent.
