Goderich has plenty of events to celebrate Canada’s 158th year since Confederation.
The waterfront fireworks begin at dusk Monday along the Lake Huron shoreline, approximately 9:30 p.m.
Tourism officials suggest arriving early, to ensure a parking spot along one of Goderich’s three beaches.
On Canada Day Tuesday, festivities begin with the 22nd Annual Goderich Children’s Festival starting at 10:00 a.m. in Lion’s Harbour Park.
This year’s Children’s Festival will feature inflatables, live entertainment, obstacle courses, a petting zoo, and the always popular Touch a Truck Events with Bruinsma Excavating.
Following that, the Goderich Canada Day Parade begins at 2:00 p.m., and runs down West Street to Courthouse Square.
The downtown parade will be followed by a procession of boats from the Goderich Yacht Club and Goderich Marina
