A review of evidence from a dugout-clearing brawl during a Kitchener and London Intercounty Baseball League playoff game has led to additional suspensions.
Panthers’ Manager Dave te Boekhorst’s suspension has been extended to five games, including the one he missed in London on Tuesday night.
Majors’ coach Max Escrogin is now suspended for one game.
Kitchener assistant coach Denis Bailey and London outfielder Julio Guzman already served their one-game suspensions on Tuesday.
The fight started after Majors’ outfielder Humberto Ruiz bunted for a base-hit in the eighth inning of last Sundays’ game that London was leading by six runs, without being instructed to do so by his manager.
London third-base coach Casey Pulham was treated for injuries he suffered in the melee.
The Majors and Panthers play Game 5 of their semi-final in Kitchener tonight, with the best-of-seven deadlocked at two games apiece.
