An energy distributor that serves Huron and Bruce Counties is marking its’ 65th anniversary in business.
Edward Fuels’ founder Clayton Edward bought a Goderich-based coal business at the end of the Second World War, and became a distributor of Shell products in 1952.
Company President Don Edward bought Edward Fuels from his father in the early 1970s, and expanded its operations to include Clinton, Teeswater and Kincardine.
Edward Fuels also operates in the Bruce Peninsula and Manitoulin Island, where the operation is known as Manitoulin Fuels.
As well as selling Shell products like gasoline, diesel, aviation and marine fuels, the company is also growing its heating, ventilation and air conditioning sales and service business.

Edward Fuels employs around 100 people, most of whom are full-time workers.
