The United Way of Perth-Huron is looking to grow their Urgent Needs Fund (UNF), as the pandemic continues into its third year.
The organization opened the UNF in March of 2020, as a way to help individuals whose income was affected by the global pandemic.
“This past year alone, we helped over 800 people with pressing needs such as groceries, emergency car repairs, bill arrears and more,” says UWPH Executive Director Ryan Erb.
“To make sure the UNF continues, we’re asking people in the community who already have a safety net in times of need to give in support of those who don’t.”
The UNF is also accessible by dialing 2-1-1, 24 hours a day.
