The Ontario Health Coalition is hosting emergency town halls to discuss crises at Ontario hospitals.
A pair of next week’s emergency meetings are scheduled in Clinton and Seaforth, over Zoom.
In a news release from the OHA, the meetings will discuss taking, “urgent action to support our local public hospitals instead of funnelling millions into for-profit corporations to privatize our public hospital services.”
This follows a plan outlined by the Doug Ford government to relieve pressure on Ontario’s healthcare system by funding more surgeries at private clinics.
A virtual town hall will be held for Clinton Monday at 7:00 p.m., and a similar meeting will be held Tuesday for Seaforth at 7:00 p.m..
