Huron County’s top staffer will be representing Ontario municipalities at the provincial level.
Chief Administrative Officer Meighan Wark has been appointed to the County Caucus of the Association of Municipalities Ontario (AMO) Board of Directors.
AMO is an organization representing Ontario’s 444 municipalities, and speaks as a voice for local governments to the provincial and federal governments.
As a member of the board, Wark will help set policy for the association and serve as a key municipal leader in the province.
She will hold the position for the remainder of the 2022-2024 term.
During the 2022-2024 term, AMO will be focusing on matters related to housing and homelessness, municipal infrastructure, broadband expansion, and sectoral leadership across the scope of municipal policy matters, among many other initiatives.
